White Oaks Hotel

When I arrived at the Hotel my first impression was 'what did I get myself into?' The landscaping was dead and at first glance the Hotel appeared to possibly be abandoned. The pool was shut down due to improper equipemt. However, my room was a pleasant surprise. It was spacious, clean and very quiet. I reserved this Hotel again on priceline for 9-5-09 and I will be traveling to Lompoc twice a month in the future. Hotel was in a convenient location (close to major highways). When we first approached the property, it appeared closed and deserted - no signs of life or activity and untended gardens, peeling paint etc. It felt like we were the only guests which was surprising considering this was a Friday night in the height of the tourist season. However, our room was large and for the most part clean, if a bit run down and in need of renovation. Also the bathroom was small with an awkward layout - the tiny vanity was squeezed to the side of the toilet. The continental breakfast was small and the coffee was cold. No air conditioning. Hallways dirty and in poor condition.

They have stopped taking care of the place because owner is trying to sell. Needs a lot of work. Then motel 6 would have been better and cheaper.

Very low budget property. No frills.

guess its OK for someone that doesn't have to much to spend.
